about

I'm Mike McDonald, an undergraduate student at Berklee College of Music. I am a sound designer and composer by trade. I have worked on several projects both for class and outside of it. My experience with sound design is mostly self-regulated, but I've worked on projects at scale before.

Outside of music, I enjoy working with computers as much as I can. I enjoy programming in C#, python, and javascript. My technical troubleshooting skills are intermediate. I apply my knowledge with computers to my work as a musician as often as I can, which is why my music tends to live on a machine.

I'm proficient in several types of software, including but not limited to: The Microsoft Office Suite, The Google Productivity Suite, Notion, Davinci Resolve, Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Avid Protools, GIMP, Photoshop, Krita, Inkscape, Unity, and Godot.

Other skills include my conversational proficiency in Spanish, somewhat extensive video editing knowledge, and extreme comfort dealing with deadlines.
